Every person who walks through our doors has a unique story. Our health is influenced by many interconnected factors, including lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, relationships, environment, medical history, movement and emotional wellbeing. Looking at one symptom in isolation rarely provides the complete picture.
At Optimal Health Clinic, we believe that the most effective healthcare begins with understanding the individual.
We do not believe in recommending treatments, supplements or therapies before first understanding the wider factors that may be influencing your health.
Our Comprehensive Functional Health Assessment forms the foundation of every personalised programme we provide.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, this assessment enables us to build a detailed understanding of your health, identify potential areas requiring further attention and develop recommendations that reflect your individual needs, priorities and long term goals.
Your journey begins with a free 30 minute initial consultation, either in person or online. This informal, no obligation appointment allows us to listen to your concerns, understand what you hope to achieve and explain how our assessment process works.
It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether our approach feels right for you.
At Optimal Health Clinic, we recognise that meaningful improvements in health begin with understanding the whole person.
Only then can recommendations truly become personalised.
Rather than relying on a single appointment, we gather information over several stages, allowing us to identify patterns, recognise relationships between different aspects of your health and develop recommendations that are tailored specifically to you.
Your assessment is not simply about gathering information. It is about understanding your experiences, recognising the factors that may be influencing your health and working together to develop a plan that feels both realistic and achievable.
Everyone comes to Optimal Health Clinic for a different reason. Some clients want to recover and feel more energised. Others want support with stress, sleep, hormones, pelvic health, inflammation, mood, focus or long-term wellness.
Our team can help you understand which therapies may be suitable and how they can work together as part of a wider wellbeing plan.
Your journey begins with a complimentary 30 minute consultation, either online or at the clinic. During this relaxed conversation, we discuss your current health concerns, your goals and explain how our assessment process works. It is also your opportunity to ask questions and decide whether you feel our approach is right for you. There is absolutely no obligation to proceed.
If you choose to proceed, you will receive a series of detailed health questionnaires. These questionnaires explore many aspects of your health, lifestyle and wellbeing, providing valuable information that cannot be obtained during a single consultation alone. Once completed, every questionnaire is individually reviewed and analysed before your appointment, allowing us to prepare specifically for your consultation.
Following our review of your questionnaires, we meet for a comprehensive 90 minute consultation. Together we explore your health in greater depth, discuss your questionnaire responses, clarify any areas requiring further explanation, understand how your symptoms affect your daily life and answer any questions you may have. This conversation often provides some of the most valuable insights into your overall health.
Following your consultation, all of the information gathered throughout the assessment process is carefully reviewed. Rather than viewing each symptom in isolation, we look for patterns, relationships and possible underlying factors that may be influencing your health and wellbeing. Where appropriate, and always within our professional scope of practice, we may also consult with trusted professional colleagues, including Dr Marisa Matos of Ultivita Health or Sonia O'Donnell of Native Wisdom, where additional specialist knowledge would help us develop the most appropriate recommendations.
Finally, you will receive a comprehensive written report that brings together everything we have learned throughout your assessment. Your report includes our observations, personalised recommendations and practical guidance designed specifically around your individual health, circumstances and goals. Rather than simply highlighting areas for attention, the report provides a clear roadmap that helps you understand your health and identify realistic, achievable steps towards improving your wellbeing.
Following your consultation and clinical analysis, you will receive a comprehensive written report explaining our findings in clear, easy to understand language.
Your report is far more than a summary of your consultation. It becomes your personalised health roadmap.
Depending upon your individual circumstances, your recommendations may include lifestyle guidance, nutritional advice, sleep optimisation, breathing techniques, stress management strategies, functional health testing, therapies offered at Optimal Health Clinic or referral to another healthcare professional where additional expertise would benefit your care.
Not every recommendation needs to be implemented immediately.
Instead, we help you prioritise the changes most likely to make the greatest difference, allowing you to build sustainable improvements over time.
Throughout your journey, we remain available to review your progress, answer your questions and adapt your recommendations as your needs change.
Our goal is not simply to provide a report. Our goal is to help you better understand your health so that you can make informed decisions with confidence for many years to come.
No two people have the same health history, lifestyle or goals.
For this reason, every programme we develop is entirely individual.
Once your assessment has been completed, we work together to prioritise the recommendations that best reflect your circumstances, your priorities and your long term health goals.
There is never any expectation that you must follow every recommendation. Instead, we help you develop a programme that is realistic, achievable and designed to fit into your everyday life.
Depending upon your assessment findings, your personalised programme may include:
Every recommendation is carefully considered and based upon your individual assessment.
We do not believe there is one treatment that is right for everyone. Instead, we believe that lasting improvements are achieved through careful assessment, personalised recommendations, collaborative healthcare and small, sustainable lifestyle changes that place you at the centre of your own health journey.
Choosing someone to guide your health journey is an important decision.
At Optimal Health Clinic, we believe that high quality healthcare is built upon careful assessment, professional integrity and a genuine commitment to understanding the individual before making recommendations.
Our approach combines person centred care with current scientific understanding and functional health principles, allowing us to consider the many factors that influence health, including nutrition, sleep, stress, breathing, movement, lifestyle, medical history and environmental influences.
Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, we consider how the different systems of the body interact and how these relationships may be contributing to your current health and wellbeing.
Every recommendation we make is based upon careful clinical reasoning and is always tailored to your individual circumstances.
We are committed to working within our professional scope of practice at all times.
Healthcare is continually evolving, and no single practitioner can be an expert in every area. For this reason, we work collaboratively with trusted healthcare professionals whenever additional expertise would benefit your care.
If, following your assessment, we believe another healthcare professional or specialist service would better support a particular aspect of your health, we will always discuss this openly with you and help you access the most appropriate care.
Our priority is not to provide every service ourselves. Our priority is to ensure you receive the right care from the right professional at the right time.
The prices below are provided as a guide to help you understand the likely investment involved. Every person’s needs are different, so the most suitable option may depend on your health goals, current concerns, session frequency and any additional support recommended as part of your wider wellbeing plan.
Where appropriate, we will talk you through the options and help you choose the most suitable route before you commit to a programme.
